About

Hi, we got two guys working on this blog, one is Conrad and another one is Donald. We'll call ourselves hongkongnese. This term actually doesn't exist. People from Hong Kong normally are referred as Chinese, and language spoken in Hong Kong is called Cantonese, which is a dialect of Chinese. Recently  some American friends asked us about travel in Hong Kong since we both came from there. We were thinking  maybe we should post those research result up as a blog to help more people.

Along with some discussion travelling in Hong Kong, We'll also teach some Cantonese through some audio tutorial, so anyone can pick up some Cantonese bit by bit for the trip. We'll also record  some Cantonese-only MP3 for people to download to the phone for "emergency" use - that means you just play my recordings to the person you want to talk to. Of course, whether you can understand the responses through body language or some limited English from the Hong Kong people will depend on your Cantonese level. Frankly, most people in Hong Kong know some basic English because the mixed cultural background of this once a colony city.
